Feeling Festive??
I will have a stall at the Christmas Craft Fair at Kesgrave Community Centre next Saturday 3rd November in aid of The British Heart Foundation.
I will have some new framed pieces which will make nice xmas gifts, as well as new jewellery and of course... bowls!
Hope to see you there x

Thank you to everyone...
I'd like to say a big 'Thank You' to everyone I met on Sunday in Felixstowe who made purchases and showed interest in my work. It was a great success and I was overwhelmed by all the positive comments I received. Since it was my first show since graduation I was quite nervous but after such a great day I have new found confidence and am now brimming with inspiration!!
Please keep an eye out on here for new pictures from the day and also a new page of photo's that will be named "Summer Colour Aug 2012" I will upload them soon as I get a chance.
For those of you fairly local to Ipswich, I will have a stall on Sat the 3rd Nov this year at the Kesgrave Community Centre, so note it in your diary! x

Sunday 2nd September- Felixstowe, Suffolk Art on the Prom
This Sunday I will be showing and selling work at Art on the Prom, Felixstowe. I will upload photos of the day and of some more new work soon ...or you could just take a trip down to Felixstowe on Sunday?!
AOTP is my first event since I graduated uni last year, although I have done a small craft fair since, this will be the largest scale event since the degree show. Wish me luck!!

New Collection
Finally I can now show a new collection of work. I have been experimenting with form, glaze, color and line. Currently I am trying out some laminating so I will post some more once they are fired in a couple of weeks time. I hope you enjoy seeing how my work is progressing. I have posted a few photos here but I will add the full collection into one of the left hand side tabs.

A Bit Quiet...
Currently I am working on adding some colour to my porcelain bowls through the use of glaze stains - to try both in the glazes and the clay body. It's a slow process as I am only in the studio for a couple of hours a week and stoneware firings are few and far between unless I can fill it mostly with my own work. Once I have some tests done, I'll post 'em up!

Just a few finished pieces
These are the first few finished bowls since I started up in the studio again about 6 weeks ago :) Some are left unglazed and the detail shows up beautifully (I'm very pleased with those).
The clear glaze on the others is possibly a bit under-fired but that just means I need to do a few more tests.
I took advantage of a nice sunny morning and photographed them in the sunlight... courtesy of my studio owner's garden!

These floral shapes will be made into jewellery. |
